just a color piece i put together after the first day of competition ... think it turned out pretty slick.

my parents are insane.

my dad retired from being an over-the-road truck driver in october of 2007.  he has been remarkably patient during the last 16 or so months ... but during the past week he's been in my study, looking over my shoulder while we browse through craig's list and my mother rolls her eyes.  we drove up to great falls this afternoon to pick up their "new" beastie ... a 1981 winnebago chieftan.  43,000 original miles.  cherry interior.  look out world, here comes my ma and pa.

... but i love what spring does to the big sky.

slogging through the long, depressing winter is so worth it when the sky starts to do this in early spring.  although my poor little cell phone camera doesn't quite know what to do with a sun flare (have i mentioned i totally dig my lg dare's camera?  3.2 megapixels, baby!  heh) ...

i hate winter.

i think march is going to come in like a lion and go out like a lion too.  stupid weather.  it was stormy and 50-ish degrees all last weekend, tried to rain around midnight last night (i was still awake because i find it difficult to sleep when the wind is gusting to 40 miles an hour), and then around 8:30 this morning it started snowing big fat quarter size flakes of snow.  by four this afternoon we had a good six inches on the deck.
